About The Secret
Hello Angela,
I'm Catholic too. I'm a devout Catholic besides. Someone sent an email to me from this site that said that The Secret sounds like it's from the devil. My God, how can anyone say that anything that is good for a human being is from Satan. Unbelievable. But no matter. That's like not trusting our Lord and His intentions.
It is my belief that anything that helps us as God's creations, namely human beings, is from God Himself. I refer to Mark 11:24 which plainly states from our Lord, Jesus, that "Anyone who believes that he has already received what he is praying for will receive it from God". Sounds New Age too doesn't it? Sort of like a magic genie of sorts. But Jesus meant that all we have to do is believe which means have positive thoughts and faith that God is there for us. If it is true that what we need to do is have faith and think positively to bring the things that we want to us, then I believe that is what The Secret is all about. It is all given by God for our benefit as sure as the brain we were given is used for thought, our hearts to keep us alive, the hands for labor, our feet for transportation.
I thank you Angela for writing to me in support of what I said. You are evidently a good Christian, a good Catholic and yes, I will tell you as I am writing to you now, it does work.

I wanted to say thankyou so much to all those who prayed for my mum Mamie stewart and me during her illness... Mum passed away on 30th June... We were so blessed with 6 days of sharing praying and me being able to let her know how grateful I was for all she had done. So many friends came to help afterwards and my estranged sister made it to the funeral... I had an experience of her presence in the room as I was the one to find her just after she passed away. It was a warm embracing

Thanks to all of you who have prayed for me. Your emails are so helpful and uplifting. Sometimes when I feel so sad this website helps me through. I just want to say that I'm thankful for what I have in my life. My 2 lovely children, nice home, great friends and family. I have prayed for my husband to return but I think that God has a different plan for me. I'm doing my best to be strong but the aching in my heart is so unbearable at times. Husband's health and job - Ca - Tuesday, July 1, 2008 -
I have been fearsome and worrying about my husband's health condition and his job due to his recent absence from work when he had two surgeries.
None of his bosses/seniors called to ask about his condition and the HR wrote him an email informing that he would not be paid for the days he didnt work and also he had to pay for his health insurance because of his absence from work.
All they wanted to know was when was he fit to return to work. On the second day of his absence, they hired another guy to do the job. The outlook was threatening and we were very worried that they would fire my husband because of his illness.
I worried day and night, woke up in the middle of the night, crying. I worried about my husband's health as he had complication due to the infection of his surgery wound. I worried about him losing his job and that would mean I would have to stop my college and my daugther would have to change school. There would have been so many adjustments to be made and we might even loose a roof over our head.
"Thank you" to all who have prayed for us. Your prayer meant the world to us. We need the Lord in our lives, without which I cannot imagine what would be the outcoe. May God bless you all and have a lovely blessed day.

Lord, Thank you so much for giving me the courage to face my fears today. Luckly, I was not rejected. I discovered the greatest news that they're creating a position for me in an area that is more favorable for me than where I had originally applied. Although nothing is completely certain, I will keep my faith in you because I did not believe you could make the situation better, but you made it way better than I could have dreamt of. I want to apologize for all the days I doubted you and got angry and frustrated with you. As you always do, you've showed me that your plans always make more sense than my plans and I am ever grateful that you continue to help me even when I abandon you. Of course, I'm still going to ask you for favors and call upon you until I finally obtain the job position they described on the phone. I will do my best not to let my anger get the best of me and keep positive faith in you. Please, also bless and listen to ALL those people who prayed for me and kept me in their thoughts.
